不同企业边界观评析与未来研究展望

企业边界体现了企业的独立性,区隔了企业组织与外部环境。管理实践者和研究者都十分关注企业边界的设定,威廉姆森因为在该问题上的突出贡献而获得2009年诺贝尔经济学奖,但是企业边界的设定理论目前还是一个丛林状态。本文以国外学者已有分类为基础,综述了企业边界研究的效率学派、势力学派、能力学派和身份学派的基础假设、边界的影响因素、影响的理论机制以及各自适用情景等理论核心要素,并对各学派的解释能力和关联性进行分析与比较,最后展望了企业边界未来研究的驱动因素和方向。     

基于灰度直方图最小跨度阈值法的瞳孔分割

瞳孔的边缘检测是虹膜提取的一个重要技术内容,本文提出了一种简单有效的虹膜内边缘定位算法,以虹膜图像灰度直方图为基础,通过寻找瞳孔区灰度分布范围的方法确定分离瞳孔的灰度阈值,并利用灰度投影法定位虹膜内边缘。实验结果表明,文中提出的方法能够准确地进行虹膜内边缘定位。

近中期金融改革值得关注的几个问题

当前,国际金融危机影响依然存在,发达经济体、新兴经济体均面临结构调整,全球金融监管体制将全面改革。结合国内金融运行及金融业发展中存在的一些突出问题,文章以确立推进近中期金融改革的基本原则为出发点,从建立金融宏观审慎管理制度、研究应对危机债务成本的分摊机制等层面,提出当前需重点推进的几项金融改革及相关政策建议。

Using Travel brochures to Target Frequent Travellers and ”Big-Spenders”

Travel brochures are used throughout the industry to promote virtually all tourist destinations. This study examines how regional travelers request and use this material, specifically focusing on the relationships between brochure use and propensity to travel and travel expenditures. The results from a mail survey of 276 marginally related to high conversions, yet those marketing destinations can distinguish between how brochures are used and travel propensity and travel expenditures.     

Marketing Metrics Use in a Transition Economy: The Case of Vietnam

ABSTRACT

This article explores the use of marketing metrics by a sample of Vietnamese firms, providing an example of the use of marketing metrics in a “transition” economy as it grows and becomes more market and marketing driven. The analysis reports usage frequency and then develops a set of “correlation chains” linking firm characteristics, metric use, and various indicators of performance. Vietnamese managers generally report that several types of metrics are used. Ownership structure and industry also impact which metrics are utilized. An initial assessment of chains relating metric use to firm performance indicates that the impact is complex and indirect.

Impatience implication of weakly Paretian orders: Existence and genericity

We study order theoretic and topological implications for impatience of weakly Paretian, representable orders on infinite utility streams. As a departure from the traditional literature, we do not make any continuity assumptions in proving the existence of impatient points. Impatience is robust in the sense that there are uncountably many impatient points. A general statement about genericity of impatience cannot be made for representable, weakly Paretian orders. This is shown by means of an example. If we assume a stronger sensitivity condition, then genericity obtains.
